Why monitor your system with Guard Dog Alarms?
There are many benefits for having your system professionally monitored. The
most obvious is the automatic reporting of alarms. Your system is capable of
notifying us of what type of alarm is occurring and our trained operators will
respond to each alert. Each individual alarm owner can dictate how we should
respond and we will notify the police and/or fire department for you. The alarm
system also monitors its own system status and can alert us to many things that
may require attention before they become a problem. Besides monitoring the
status of the sensors and control panel it also monitors communications
functions. If your alarm system reports a system problem we will notify you as
soon as possible.
Why is it important to use a U.L. Listed response center?
Guard Dog Alarms uses a U.L. Listed response monitoring station. Currently the
security industry has no state or federal standards to govern how a response
center functions. That means anybody can monitor a security system, even from
their garage. Underwriters Laboratories, established in 1894, is a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to public safety and committed to quality service. U.L.
Inspects our central station periodically to make certain they are current on all
their established safety standards. These standards established monitoring
power requirements, computer requirements, staffing requirements, how the
building was built, and which systems needed to be redundant to assure you
the maximum protection available in the industry.
